Surface contamination often leads to corrosion of stainless steel when in service. A chemical treatment called passivation can be done on the SS surface for the removal of contaminants and formation of a passive oxide film on a freshly created surface. The Passivation Chemicals offered can be used in the treatment of the SS surface. Specifically, iron contaminants are removed from the surface during the process. It is important for the operator to handle the Passivation Chemicals with care. This treatment doesn't result in a marked change in appearance of the surface.
